August is National Immunization Month. You can help make sure our Kentucky children are healthy and ready for the new school year by encouraging parents to get their children up-to-date on important checkups and exams. Parents should make an appointment with their child’s primary care provider (PCP). At that appointment, they can ask the PCP if their child is due for any immunizations (shots) and for a current immunization record. Some schools may ask for a copy at registration.
