Seth
Blackley, President & Co-Founder
Evolent Health

Seth oversees overall company strategy, product design, sales and corporate development for Evolent Health. He is also a member of the Evolent Health Board of Directors.

Prior to Evolent Health, Seth was the Executive Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning at The Advisory Board Company. Seth started his career as an analyst in the Washington, D.C. office of McKinsey & Company. Seth also serves on the Board of Directors for GoHealth, a leading Urgent Care company.

He earned a BS from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with Highest Honors, and his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Seth and his wife, Brae, live in Arlington, Virginia with their three children.

 


Kimberly Boland, MD, Professor and Chair of Pediatrics
University of Louisville

Dr. Boland currently serves as Professor and Chair for the Department of Pediatrics and Chief of Staff for Norton Children’s Hospital. She is also Assistant Dean of Resident Education and Work Environment in Graduate Medical Education as well as a Pediatric Hospitalist in her clinical time.

Dr. Boland received numerous awards including five clinical teaching awards, seven faculty peer mentoring awards, three awards as top teaching faculty, the UofL School of Medicine Master Educator Award for Outstanding Educator, the UofL Paul Weber Award for Departmental Excellence in Teaching and the 2016 Dean’s Educator Award for Distinguished Educator.

She is involved with many task forces and committees within the University and Hospital including Graduate Medical Education Committee, Residents and Scholarly Activity Task Force, and the Strategic Planning Subcommittee, and past chair of the Paul Weber Award Selection Committee. She is also involved in community advocacy working with residents and students.

Has had numerous publications, oral and poster presentations, nationally, regionally and locally.

Dr. Boland was raised in Louisville. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from the University of Louisville. She completed her residency and chief residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at St. Louis Children’s Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.

 


Jennifer “Jenni” Davis, University of Louisville Physicians
Associate Vice President of Health Affairs and Strategic Initiatives

Jennifer was formerly the Chair of the Health Care Service Group at Stites & Harbison PLLC and focused her practice on regulatory and transactional health care law.

Jennifer is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for 2013 and 2014. She was first named to the Partners in Health Care list by Business First in 2010 for her vital work for the health care industry and was named to the 2011 Forty under 40 list also by Business First.

Ms. Davis has been a member of the board of directors of Passport Health Plan, a Kentucky provider-sponsored Medicaid managed care company, since 2014. She is the past President of the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys, past chair of the Health Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association, and previously served as Vice President for the Health Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. Jenni is also a former member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Centre College Alumni Association and member of the Board of Directors of Sarabande Books, Inc.

 


Ken Marshall, University Medical Center
Chief Operating Officer

Ken Marshall has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership in hospitals.  He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of UofL Health, an academic-focused health care system in Louisville, Kentucky.

UofL Health is home to collaborative teaching and non-teaching physician practices, 6 hospitals, 4 outpatient centers, and over 10,000 employees.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 


Tom Peterson, Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Evolent Health

Tom Peterson is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Evolent Health. Evolent Health partners with leading providers to drive value-based care transformation. At Evolent, Tom oversees all aspects of operations across our health system partners in more than 35 markets in various value-based care arrangements. In this capacity, Tom is accountable for all of Evolent’s implementation and operations functions, health plan services, value-based services, information technology and market-based operations.

Prior to Evolent, Tom was the Executive Director of The Advisory Board Company, overseeing the Business Intelligence and consulting businesses. He has also held leadership roles in managed care and capitation management services with HealthSouth Corporation and Foundation Health.

Tom has a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.

 


Jonathan Weinberg, General Counsel
Evolent Health

Jonathan Weinberg serves as Evolent Health’s General Counsel and is the chief legal officer of the company. Prior to joining Evolent, Jonathan was a Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Coventry Health Care, Inc., where he supervised many of the operational functions of the Coventry legal department including mergers and acquisitions, federal and state regulatory issues, provider contracting, and Medicare and Medicaid issues. While at Coventry, Jonathan also was in charge of the risk management department. Prior to joining Coventry, Jonathan was an associate and then partner at Epstein Becker and Green, P.C. in the firm’s health care practice, specializing in managed care issues.

Jonathan received his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his JD from the Catholic University of America.
